M. Arch – Urban Development
Architecture is one of the few disciplines that can be classified as a combination of both science and art. Architecture involves both creative and analytical thinking. It is the most suitable field for the students who are interested in ambitious, multidisciplinary learning.
Those pursuing degrees in architecture, built environment, and planning must consider the infrastructure and building’s development, design, and function. People who plan, design, and construct environments that support daily living have a place in a world that is always expanding and changing. You should look at this field if you want to plan and build the infrastructure of the future.
OmDayal College of Architecture, West Bengal’s top architecture school, was founded in 2012 as the state’s first private architecture school. Since its founding, OmDayal College of Architecture has worked to advance the development of a sustainable environment and expand the scope of architectural education beyond the domains of structures. Our objective is to employ more trained architects in the service of society. More architects would result in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly constructed environment, making the globe a better place for coming generations to live.
Following the successful completion of twelve years, we are considering establishing more recent academic and research paths. We have an architecture postgraduate program with an emphasis on urban development and infrastructure. Additionally, we are eager to mentor researchers in the fields of urban planning, architecture, and design. A bi-annual journal in Architecture is being published as a first step towards study. According to MAKAUT, a research committee would be led by our Head of the Department, Prof. Bhaskar Chatterjee.
Since 2017, eight batches of students have graduated. Several architectural companies in India provided professional training to the current final year batch as part of the curriculum.
Some of the alumni of the OmDayal College of Architecture are now doing postgraduate studies at prestigious Indian national institutes as well as overseas, and they are employed in a variety of jobs in India and beyond.
Architects are skilled in the art or technique of designing, building & construction, both practical and expressive conditions must be met in order to practise architecture.
Architecture graduates acquire abilities that are applicable in a wide range of different professions, in addition to the numerous career options that exist within the subject itself. After completion of 5 years of bachelor degree all the students of Architecture are eligible to receive a registration number provided by Council of Architecture, Govt. of India for practicing architecture.
