Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Awareness Programme

Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) are legal rights that guard creation and inventions from intellectual activity in the industrial, scientific, literary or artistic fields. The most common IPRs include patents, copyrights, marks and trade secrets. Intellectual property (IP) is a category of property includes intangible creations of the human intellect. The main purpose of intellectual property right is to encourage the creation of a wide variety of intellectual possessions and allows them to guard their ideas and stop copying.

Recently, the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade under Ministry of Commerce & Industry (DPllT) has launched the “National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM)”, under which a special drive has been initiated to impart awareness on different aspects of Intellectual Property (lP) to students/ participants across the nation. An webinar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) is conducted for students & faculty members of OmDayal Group of Institutions by The Patent Office Kolkata on 14th March 2022 at 12 PM. Officers (Group ‘A’ Gazetted) from the Patent Office, Kolkata will be the resource person for this program. Faculty members & students will be able to aware about different aspect of IPR through this webinar.
